Every room in a house functions as an important place for a family. Bedroom is important because it influences people's sleeping quality. A house cannot live without a bathroom because it is necessary to the people's biological needs. Kitchen is a place where people can prepare their own foods which decides their health. However, when it comes to the issue of spending time with family, as far as I'm concerned, living room is the place where my family take it seriously. In my house, we used to have televisions in each bedroom, and most of my family members tended to stay in their rooms instead of sitting in the living room. Although we lived in a same home, we were lack off connection with each other. Therefore, afterward we decided to donate the televisions which were in my sister and my parents’ bedrooms, and remained the only television in the living room. It turns out that we have more chances to sit down and watch TV together and have more conversation with my family. In the past, my family used to have Chinese New Year dinner in the dining room, where we have a big round table. After we started to get use to the space of our living room, we decided to have our reunion dinner in the living room. Different from the big round table where people have to sit far away from each other, although the living room is a little crowded than the dining room, everyone sit closer and talk more now. Every time we finished our reunion dinner in the living room, everyone stayed at there and talked about their recent life with a cup of hot tea. Underneath the yellow dim light in the living room and the comfortable breeze from the balcony beside the living room, it seems that everyone enjoys the moment and neither of us wanted to leave. I haven't live with my parents for a long time because of my work needs, but every time when I have chances to go back there, I cherish the time to sit in the sofa in the living room and watch TV with my family, although sometimes we are speechless, I still enjoy the moment to get together with them.
