The tide was receding and the reflection of the sun on the water produced a myriad of shiny sparkles. The sizzling whisper of the waves on the sand soothed him. Next to the canal, two large pelicans were sitting on a pier. A green fishing boat passed by swiftly on its way to the market. On it, there was a black fisherman with a fishing rod in his hands. Harry looked in the direction of the beach where he had recently found the corpse of the shark. A colony of seagulls was flying over the precise spot on which the fish had lain.
