Various opinions have been expressed when it comes to the issue of whether students should take a variety of courses in one single term. Some people considers that students should be exposed to many different kinds of fields at once. On the other hand, others suggest that students should focus on merely few courses so that they can handle their studies well.My personal experience and actual observation of life have led me to believe that student should enroll to a variety of courses in one single term, and several reasons are offered in support of my decision. Firstly, although taking multiple courses in one single term may distract student from focusing on one major study, it helps student with not being limited to some specific fields. That is to say, by engaging in a variety of courses, students can learn many different kinds of knowledge in one semester instead of just few subjects. Also, students can meet more classmates from different backgrounds and work together with them. In the second place, taking many kinds of courses at once provides students with chances to merge various idea together and create something new. In other words, by applying what they learn from one to another class, students may stimulate a good work. Take my personal experience as an example, I used to take Marking, Films Noir study and American literature in one single term, and surprisingly, I merged the knowledge of marketing and Films Noir into my presentation in my presentation in American literature class, which provided my classmates with a different perspective of the literature work. To sum up, although some people may disagree with my idea, however, my statement is based on concrete personal experience and convincing reasons. Therefore, it is safe to believe that taking a variety of courses in one single term do more good to students than harm.
