The idea of becoming vegetarian in order to become fitter, healthier and stronger is not new. In this essay I am going to discuss about the pros and against aspects that stop eating meat will have in general and especially in our body.

Doctors usually say that we need to cut down the intake of proteins in a daily basis in order to become healthier. Most people often eat meat as their main dish every day and according to the doctor's recommendation it is too much. As far as the quality of meat in England is concerned, it is been discovered that many supermarkets are selling horse meat instead of beef. We can't rely on the nature of the meet we are eating anymore.

Another important aspect to consider is the animal's rights. Most people all over the world go shopping to supermarkets, and the food they bring back home doesn't look anything like an animal at all. We don't even realize that we are eating an animal. If we have had to kill that animal instead of picking it up from the shelf of a supermarket most of us  would have chosen a different kind of food like vegetables or pasta. Farm animals suffer terrible conditions in its farmyards with no place to move and most of them get crazy and attack each other, let alone the horrible way that it is used to kill them.

In conclusion, if we related all this aspects with the ban meat proposal for our cafeteria, I think some people are taking this too far. One half of the population treats animals in the same way as if they were human beings, and the other half doesn't care about anything. It is difficult to find a meeting point. I guess that a reduction of our weekly meet intake should be enough to become healthier. I don't want to finish this essay without saying that in a perfect world, we would be more sensitive, and we do care about the way we treat animals. If people realize the way animals are bred in farmyards, they do not care about paying a higher prize in order to improve animals' lifes, as a result, the is going to be an improvement in the quality of the meet.
