Yesterday I was chatting with a friend and we discussed the topic superstition, which he joked as stupid-ition :D
There’s a trend among Chinese youngsters, they tend to forward some superstitious pictures praying for ideal scores before and after exams. The pictures are various, ranging from the most transitional one, koi, a carp used to earnestly hope for good luck to some viral actress who seems always be fortunate with her career. Or sometimes netizens would blindly seek attachment with some lucky stars, they would go following the lucky guy on social media and repost his/her luckiest moment hoping to borrow some luck. For example last year, an IT engineer soon became the "national koi" after winning an huge online lottery sponsored by the Alipay and earned thousands of followers. But actually, reposting koi is a way of releasing pressure, regardless of whether they seriously believe it or take it as a joke, most netizen simply think it as auxiliary and follow the trend.
As for me, I basically exclude this kind of stupid behavior because I find it annoying and I don’t hold belief for it. But it’s kinda funny watching these praying-for-luck messages flowing in your social media interface. Anyway, l believe only efforts can bring out ideal results, so I would rather simply review textbooks before exams or accept the reality after it instead of praying for miracle to happen.

I'd love some polishing for better word substitute in the text to make it more native sounding. Thank you guys for help!
