Soria is a province from the north of Spain, located in the east side of the 'Castilla y León' region. Soria is, by far, the less populated province, with less than 9 inhabitants/km². One of the fewer in the European Union. Soria has more than 500 population points, grouped into 183 townships. Almost half of them are towns of less than 100 dwellers. Only Almazán, El Burgo de Osma and Soria have more than 5.000 inhabitants. Average altitude is 1025 metres, and the climate, cold and dry, is determined for the mountains on the north.
