Now let’s think about sports activities function in  the universities. I don’t believe that physical training works as a health maintenance for the students. Sport itself always is something more than simply physical exercises. It plays social, political, economic roles in communities, and the universities are no exception.

As a schoolchild I was a member of a basketball team I know at first hand that strong sport team may raise tremendous the prestige of the school. Beside of it, most powerful people, who i know in the business area, normally were best sport’s team players.

From my consulting experience I remember how much employers need not only good experts for their businesses but also a good personalities. The sport shapes the character. So that,  co-curricular activities is important for skills development of the students to give them better chance to shape their future.

Should university invest in it more than in library? Yes, since students have no deficit with the books anymore.
