If one would ask me what is more important for an university - sports activities or librairy - I surely would vote for the librairy. After all, the main conception of any university is to provide knowledge, not to mention that librairy has primary importance for the university.

But if one would ask me weather invest money into librairy or into sports activities, my answer would be not that obviouse. In fact, the amount of investment has no direct link with efficiency of this investment use. Let's see. 

The main function of librairy is to provide students with a relevant information. In our electronic times this task can be tackled without any significant expencies. Thousands of students can be provided with e-books at a cost of one simple copy. In addition e-librairy does not need a large storage facilities and therefore does not require hight maintenance costs of premisies.
