Nowadays there are lots of properties occupied and these situations usually tend to be “solved” with repression and violence. I believed this is a worrying social problem which deserves careful analysis and not precisely a quick and brutal eviction. Firstly, it exists other ways to resolve this kind of problems. There are a large number of legal tools to put the squatter and the owner in accord, to arrive at a fair solution. Secondly, it is necessary to admit that is a complex situation which requires a strong deep debate around the private property. It blows to the surface the row reality of the unequal access to a house. The point is: how is it possible that existing so many properties is still being a problem having a decent place to live? Most of the time, these events take place because of a lack of possibilities to buy or rent a place and the role of the real estate business. In conclusion, is not a simple question to answer. It is mandatory when you are in front of a social problem have a multi-point of view about what is happening, its history and the interests which are involved.
