First, we can see a line chart about the trends in cigarette smoking by high school students and adults between 1965 and 2014 in the united States. Globally, there is a gradually decrease of the trend between 1965 and 2014.

Therefore, adults smoke fewer and fewer with the time. For instance, the trends in cigarette smoking is to 43% in 1965 from 18% in 2014. This decrease is pretty gradually.

However, students smoke also fewer than before. But there is a quickly increase between 1992 and 1998, then a fast decrease between 1998 and 2007. After, it’s a bit more constantly with a little decrease till 2014.

Finally, students smoked more than adults before 2007. Then, the trend changed and adults have been smoked more. In 2014, there is 16,7% of high school students who smoked cigarettes and about 18% of adults. A limit is that we can’t compare the trans in cigarettes smoking by high school students and adults by 1992 because of the lack of informations about students.
