      Now Xbox 360, a popular video-game console, has become the new tool to detect heart defects and help prevent heart attacks. 

      Simon Scarle, a software engineer, modified a chip to make Xbox 360 model hearts by tracking and analysing electrical signals in the heart move around damaged cardiac cells. He said those game consoles can help medical and scientific research with their powerful hardware and relatively low price. In fact, other consoles besides Xbox360 are also used by scientists, such as Sony PlayStation applied to the simulation of black-hole collisions at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth. So video games can also benefits people’s health if properly used.
