You are thinking of spending a week in Cardiff, Wales, and you have seen an advertisement from a home-exchange cooperative on the Internet. You decide to write an email to Mr and Mrs Jones (a young couple from Wales interested in cultural activities) to stay in their house, while they come to your house. Write an email to Mr and Mrs Jones in which you:
· Describe your house/flat in detail
· Suggest cultural activities to do and places to visit
· Advise them on safety issues when visiting your area Write your answer as an email in 175-200 words.
Dear Mr and Mrs Jones,
My name’s Pau Vilanova, I’m a 26 years old Spanish guy. I write you because I saw your announce on internet related to home-exchange, and I’m casually interested in spending a week in Cardiff. I can offer you my house in exchange.
I’d like to describe my house details. My home is located in Verges (Girona), a little Catalan village near the sea. It’s a three floor house, narrow but long; on the ground floor we’ve a garage; on the first floor you’ll find the dining room and living room which contains a fireplace, and near to it you have access to the kitchen and the bathroom; on the second floor you’ll have three double bedrooms; on the fourth and top floor you can enjoy an astonish view of the fields from our terrace.
As far as cultural activities are concerned, you can visit the ancient wall or the “Lluís Llach” museum, and of course you should visit our beautiful beaches, located just 12km away from the village. Then, a little bit further, you have the opportunity to go hiking on the magnificent and huge Pyrenees, it’s worth visiting this natural paradise.
We normally don’t suffer from robberies in our zone, but I suggest you at least to close the door when going out, you never know when could be the first time.
