It's very known among the anime fans that anime industry is passing through difficulties that have brought about changes in the quality of the final product along the last few years. Some people say this is caused by springing up of moe, lolicon, and fanservice overall.
What I think is this believing is mostly wrong. Indeed, the industry has issues, but they have nothing to be with the prolificacy of fanservice. In favor of this argument, it's necessary to remind that anime has been surrounded by this kind of stuff since the beginning. In 70's and 80's, authors used to create a lot of material filled with fanservice as well as content belonging to other authors, a fact that would be illegal in this region of the world, but this is another theme.
This has been the state of the things from the start, so complaining about it as a brand new problem, is complaining about the whole industry of all times.
