The idea of transferring knowledges is not new.
It appears in many sci-fi stories. One of my favorites was written by Isaac Asimov. He is one of my favorite writers.
The story tells about a future where people don't know almost anything until the "key" day when they receive the "education". It consists in a process where they are connected to a machine. The machine teaches them like an inception in their brain.
After the process the main character can read and understand all messages, ads, books.
Another story that I remember regarding similar topic is the psychological Japanese sci-fi anime Paprika. The story tells about some experiment where people are connected to some device that permit enter and navigate into their dreams.
Originally this device was created for medical purpose: psychotherapy treatment.
But scientists realized someone had stolen some devices and is using them to control them.
