One of the most popular TV programmes in Spain is called "EspaƱoles por el mundo". The programme tells us about people who decide to settle in other countries looking for a better life or new experiences.

Every programme shows two or three people living in a certain country. Firstly the information about name, age, home town, career and the number of years they have been living in that country. Then every character shows us some of the most piccturesque sites of the city where they are living and introduces their family, their style of life and the places they frequently visit (pubs, markets, squares,...). Finally they say hello to their relatives living in Spain.

This programme is as popular with youth as with elderly and it is broadcasted at the most audience periods.

As a great number of young people are leaving Spain due to the high rates of unemployment many people like thinking of living abroad might be successfull and people enjoy other lifestyles. In some way this programme encourages people to emigrate and make them think that living abroad is easy and exciting.

In my opinion going overseas might be a great opportunity for young people to live new experiences and make them be open-minded. The problem becomes when people don't have choice but to emigrate, then it sounds completly different, isn't it?
