Today, I am presenting you the Tyburn’s river and its ecological restoration (the project). This river was appreciated for a long time ago. It was described as the first river of England which had salmons. Because of that, King Edgard created the Tyburn Angling Society by royal decree in order to protect it. At this time, the organisation was composed of rich people. They had dinners, drinks and fishing trips too. Later, the Tyburn became a sewer and was buried.

Nowadays, the Tyburn Angling Society is composed of people who like fishing. They decide to “make the Tyburn great again”. In order to achieve their dream, they draw many plans where we can see the place of the river in London. But for this project, the organisation has to destroy buildings and also monuments. Indeed, the Tyburn’s river passes just underneath Buckingham Palace. So yes, if they want to give a new life to the river, they have to destroy the most famous palace on the world.

This project is a good idea from an environment point of view because rivers and parks can be creating in the centre of London, it will increase quality of life. But in another hand, nobody will wreck Buckingham or Westminster Abbey. It is a dream, and maybe one day a different project allows the return of the Tyburn.
