Hola , Estoy tratando de traducir algunas de las cosas que he escrito en español y con ello aprender a escribir español . Este es un breve poema de amor que escribí para alguien especial hace mucho tiempo. Sé que las palabras probablemente no se traducen exactamente pero yo quiero estar cerca . Si tienes la oportunidad , agradezco su ayuda con sugerencias. No quiero que lo hagas por mí, yo quiero hacerlo . Pondré la traducción en Inglés de abajo mi intento español .

Hello, I am trying to translate some of the things I have written into Spanish and thereby learn to write Spanish.  This is a short love poem I wrote to someone special long ago.  I know words probably do not translate exactly but I want to be close.  If you get a chance, I appreciate your assistance with suggestions.  I don't want you to do it for me, I want to do it.  I will put the English translation below my Spanish attempt.

A veces ...

A veces, en las noches de silencio ,
A veces, a la luz del día ,
Pocas veces con un momento previo aviso ,
Ven y toma mi aliento.
Y en ese momento , yo estoy vacío ,
Miro el viento acaricia su cabello.
Sus ojos marrones siempre me persiguen
Veo mi reflejo allí.
Y entonces el momento pasa bruscamente .
Sentimientos sorprendidos toman su lugar.
Me parece que mi corazón ha estado corriendo locamente
Mientras yo estaba mirando al espacio ...

Sometimes...

Sometimes in the evenings silence,
Sometimes in the light of day,
Seldom with a moments notice,
You come and take my breath away.
And in that moment, I stand empty,
I watch the wind caress your hair.
Your brown eyes forever haunt me
I see my reflection there.
And then the moment passes rudely.
Startled feelings take it's place.
I find my heart's been racing madly
While I was staring into space...
