日本の水道水はおそらく世界一安全なのではないでしょうか。私は何度か海外に行ったことがありますが、日本ほど綺麗な水道水を見たことがありません。それにも関わらず日本人はミネラルウォーターをスーパーで購入している人がたくさんいます。実は水道水の方がミネラルウォーターよりも安全基準は高いんです。しかし、ミネラルウォーターのほうがおいしいとか安全だと思っている人の方が多いです。何とも不思議な現象です。

I think that Japanese tap water is probably the safest in the world. I've been to overseas but never seen as safe as one. Although, there are many people buy bottles of mineral water at grocery. In fact, the criterion of safety of tap water is higher than mineral water. However, there are more people feel mineral water is better taste and safety. What strange situation is!
