When it comes to the issue of the important invention in the last 50 years, the effect of smartphones cannot be over emphasized. Different from our last generation, smartphones have gradually become an indispensable part of the modern life because of several reasons. First, smartphones are convenient in many aspects. Although its size is a little bigger than the traditional cellphone, it can carry much more functions than the cellphones in the past. Besides answering phone calls, it can be a camera, a flashlight, a schedule notebook, a map and even a wallet. Smartphones almost cover a majority of the needs in people's daily life and people start to rely on their phone deeply. Take myself as an example, I cannot leave without my smartphone when I am out because I often get lost, also, I need to check on my schedule which I wrote in my smartphone when I have to arrange my time with others. Second, with the wireless Internet, smartphones provide people with the convenience of communication and the freedom of accessing latest information .In the past, we used to rely on personal computer to surf the Internet, check our Emails and read some news. However, now we can not only receive the Emails and messages immediately, but also reply them at once. Besides, it is more common for people to browse the news and articles with their smartphones when they are waiting in a queue and commuting. Obviously, smartphones have become new devices for people to kill time nowadays. To sum up, smartphones are one of the greatest inventions that make people's life different in the last 50 years. It reforms the way how people live , changes people's habits and creates a new way how people interact with others. The impact which was brought by smartphone is magnificent and profound; therefore, I believe it will still influence people's life deeply in the future.
