Through the years governments have been interesting in scientist topics such as space programmes. Recently, the main focus has been Mars because scientists want to know if it is possible to built a life there therefore they are looking for esencial natural resources as water.  These studies spend enourmous sums of money and usually government asign specific porcentages of ther incomes to them.

Some people think this money should be used in problems closer to their reality. For instance, health care, nutrition, transport, elderly, among others whose can be improve their quality of life plus their future generations.

To my mind, I agree with focus on earth problems as a society because we need to learn and practice how to use wisdomly our natural resources. Probably if we don't have a sustainable system here it will be almost impossible to run new natural sources in other planets as Mars
