- explain why you need it

- say where you're going to put it.

I'm writing this email because I've bought a new desk. It's wide and large enough to study.

As you know, I'll study an engineering next year, so if I want to have a chance to pass the first course, I'll need a right desk to make plans.

The desk will be putted next to the bed. You'll see it at the weekend when you come back home.
