"He maybe kind of sort of THINKS someone on the team is involved". That phrase I saw in a TV series. My question is why the verb THINK doesn't go in gerun? I suposed if a verb is after a presposition(in this case is OF) it has to be in gerund.

Another question: I can see that the expression "kind of sort of" is a tipical phrase. Have that expression have a sinonimous(but with less words)?

Yesterday, I watched wednesday in netflix.

That was interesting.

I watched the main character`s dance scene many times.

I was happy to learn that a second season is in the works.

- snow time in the morning without, hopefully, sliding roads (I drove to my body therapist)

- hard work from home in the morning 

- lunch with my husband and my youngest son

- no time for having a nap

- 1 hour massage (neither postpone nor cancelled, third time lucky)

- 2 hours in a row with 2 english partners

- call with my best childhood french friend

   I think that countries over the world will never agree with the ban on mass destruction weapons. Let me elaborate on the three principal reasons that collectively underpin my position.

    First of all, there are some countries, over the world, which try to invade other countries by power. China invades Japan’s territory seas all the time trying to occupy the small island, “Senkaku”. Therefore, Japan’s government is trying to enforce the defending power against China and they have to.

    Second, some religions can be sometimes extremely dangerous, and even use weapons. For example, in Afghanistan, the Us tried to protect people, but in the end, they had to retreat for some reason. After they had gone, the Taliban enforced people strict Muslim codes of behavior. People have lost their freedom. Now they suffer from suppression of choice of religion, the light of education, equality of gender, free speech, and movement.

    Third and finally, there are some people who gain money by selling weapons. The war business and industries would welcome wars. For example, in the Ukraine war, Mr. Zelensky asks weapons from western countries and they supply a lot to answer him. I think they have two reasons to do so. One is to protect Ukraine’s independence. The other is for profit.

   The reason mentioned above obliges me to reiterate my position which supports the statement that the WMD ban will never be agreed upon.

1. Time management: Achieve a proper balance between the various aspects of my life: children, college, home, husband, and work. For this, I must manage a digital calendar with times to add my classes, exams, homework, labs, and the hours available for questions. Also, I must add the hours that I should dedicate to my studies for the course and be realistic when allocating the time each week. The Brightspace Pulse app can help me update this calendar. I also must assign tasks to my family members so they can collaborate in the proper functioning of the home. These things will help me to don't procrastinate.

2. Review readings before class and daily study: Review my notes daily, read the book and exercises, make a list of questions, and understand the topic first. By doing practice exercises I will go from information to knowledge so in this way I can later remember what I have learned. During my commute time, I must take advantage of the time, reviewing the topic that I will see, and making a glossary of the terms that I do not know.

3. Be an active learner: Besides attending class, making my own notes, reviewing the content, and making the labs and assignments; I need to go further, trying new ways of doing the exercises, listening to my classmates, and learning from them. Besides I need to learn from my mistakes asking myself “how could I have done the exercise better?” and “what would I do differently next time?

In Spain, Christmas season lasts until January, 6th, so does school vacations. In Madrid children usually go back to school on Jan, 8th. 

When I was a kid, Christmas used to be my favorite time of the year. I welcomed my adulthood with my parents' separating, plus some members of the family had passed away, so Christmas were never the same again. Now, many times, I remember my childhood and adolescence and how I enjoyed the family meals when we were all together eating and chatting and having fun in front of TV, although it was ignored most of times.

But, even then, I remember having a sort of nostalgia. Winter time change affected (and still does) my mood, and those 20 days of vacations were over too soon.

I grew older and I think I can manage nostalgia better now, but it still affects me, and those 20 days are still over too soon.
