Today, we have researched information about an example of ecological restoration. So with my group, we search about an on-going project and not just a planned one. In the news we found the Everglades restoration plan. Indeed, the Everglades ecosystems have suffered significantly from human activity and because of the rapidly growing population in Florida. Now, restoration of the Everglades is a politically charged issue in South Florida.

A strategy called the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) was enacted to restore portions of the Everglades to undo the damage of the past 50 years. It would take 30 years and cost $13,5 billion to complete and that make it the largest restoration plan ever undertaken in history.

This project include:

- Finding the correct balance among the flow types throughout all region to ensure a healthy and sustainable natural and human environment.

- Restore alligators population because they are a keystone species and ecosystem engineers

-Restore oysters population because they provide essential habitat for many other estuarine species and help to improve water quality by filtering particles from the water

-Prevention, monitoring, and control programs to prevent the expansion of the invasive species
