I had my last trip in August and my destination was in Africa, precisely in Tanzania. I choose to embark on this adventure because of my decision to know all the cultures I'm surrounded of. But, the main reason of my trip was to stay with children, or rather, children in need. In need of food, water, clothes, advantages but, most of all, in need of love. Here I will start to report what I wrote in my diary on a daily basis: day 1st (August, 13th) - during the time spent waiting for our flight to be ready, the volunteer group and me started to know each other (it was the first time for us to meet) and, from the beginning it looked like we've always knew: the level of intimacybetween us was already high and everybody felt serene to open hir or herself with the other people of the group. While visiting Istanbul, when we waited for our second flight to take off (from Istanbul to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania), everytime that somebody of us was left behind, the ones walking at the front always turned around, due to check if everybody was there. While on thye flight (eight hours later our landing), also happened that somebody of us (Roby and Giulia) felt asleep on the other person's shoulder, depending on who was sitting next to us. When we arrived in Dar, a Tanzanian priest came to pick us up at the airport and took us on his mission. In the hour and a half/two of the car-trip we all fell asleep gently, even if the conditions of the unpaved road did not allow it. I was very tired because of the exhausting flight due to the much heat in the cabin that wouldn't let me sleep.
