Hong Kong, a former British colony is undergoing a governance crisis as its people are urging the government to revise the framework according to which the next Chief Executive will be elected. With activists organizing a civil disobedience movement called “Occupy Central” and university student boycotting classes, these people hope to negotiate with the government on implementing a universal suffrage in compliance with international standards.
