Gaining knowledge is an endless process both for every person and for the mankind. There are two great sources for learning: books and experience. From my point of view experience is the most important source of knowledge for two reasons. To begin with, knowledge gained from the books are not enough for real life without supporting by knowledge gained from experience. Modern education system provides the great approvememt of this assumption. Students not just learn materials from encyclopedias, textbooks, manuals and articles, but also have lots of hours for practice. This is extremely important because nobody can become a good doctor just through reading books but without practice and treating patients by himself or herself. Similarly, nobody can become a professional teacher without lots of practice with real students. So, only knowledge gained from expirience can fulfil the academic education of a person. Secondly, not all knowledge can be borrowed from books. Our life is largely depends on the relationship with other people. Some psychologists say that happy marriage or strong friendship are even more important for the human life than career success. Infromation about psychology can be helpful to build good relationship, but it is not enough. Most of the crucial knowledge we need to get on well with people couldn't be written in books. That is why the younger person is, the more likely he of she makes a mistake in realtionship with others. Only real life experience provides people with ability to understand others and empathy. In no way do I want to say that knowledge gained from book is not imporant. However, I am pretty sure that knowledge we learn through experience are most important because they should support knowledge gained from books and because not all necessary knowledge should be found in books.
