There is said that many books can be ended into your hands, but there is one which touched you so deeply in childhood, that is impossible not to scape of its effects even in maturity. Could you remind yours? Well, I just can say that mine was Siddhartha by Hermann Hissee. Why? Well, I will try to explain it. I read a couple of days ago that you are like a seed, you SELF or that immaterial energy that makes so unique is set up or already programmed by… I don’t know who, God, probably. So, depending of what kind of effort you make on yourself that seed will bloom in many forms and shapes, but there is something so unique in yourself that you must to pay closely attention to, so you will become a virtuous and beautiful being. I remember a passage of the book when Gautama, Siddhartha’s born name, confront his parents asking permission to become a spiritual guru. Gautama parents didn’t like the idea. Gautama was born and raised to become the owner of a huge land, he will become a king. That was his destiny according to his family and society. Bravely, Siddhartha stood up in the same place hours, days and, weeks until their parents accepted his will. Finally, with his parents’ blessings, Gautama left the luxury castle with his good friend Govinda rode their horses into the woods to discover unknown lands and to meet an uncertain future. This part of the book sparked a so strong light on me, that even now with 33 years old, I am still thinking as one of the most remarkable passage that I have read in my life. I believe this is the bravery action that all traveler must to make, embrace uncertainty and solitude and lose what is so value to us, family. Another amazing book which I recommended is The Travels of Marco Polo.
