I agree with the statement that the best way to travel is in a group led by a tour guide for two reasons: a tour guide knows the best places to go sightseeing and speaks the local language of the place.

A tour guide knows the best places to go sightseeing. For example, two years ago I went to Beijing in China, and the first thing that I did was to ask for a tour guide. In that way, I didn’t have to worry or spend time thinking about what things to visit in Beijing. We knew that we were going to the most attractive places in Beijing or near Beijing. They arranged all the itinerary for us and the time we should have spent in every sight.

Speaks the local language of a place. As I previously wrote, I went to Beijing and at that time I didn’t speak a single word of Chinese. Imagine the situation where you are alone in a foreign country where the majority of the people don’t speak any language you spoke. That was happening to me in that moment, so having someone that could speak not only the local language but also could speak the language you spoke was a relief. I felt more confident from them on because whenever we had problems with the language the tour guide was always there to translate us.
