Hi everyone,
I made a second synthesis of a document on this website: https://www.certification-cles.fr/certification/epreuves/exemples-de-sujets/exemple-de-sujet-cles-b2-anglais-279472.kjsp?RH=1500459045549 but with text 2
If someone could correct it I would be very pleased.

Thank you very much for your time!

In a previous text, we’ve seen that counterfeit has become a major concern for companies and government. This new text is suggesting that it can be positive for many brands. As matter of facts, many brands such as Windows or Nike have seen their profits increase, sometimes by half, for a few years.

How is it possible?
This weird trend can be explained by many reasons.
First, counterfeit could be considered as a popularity test. A brand that is not faked has not been considered as an enough attractive brand by fake makers.
In addition, counterfeits allow consumers with poor incomes to buy goods looking like brands’ object but low in price. Consequently, the consumer makes the promotion of the object, the promotion of the brand’s values. Furthermore, when its salary will increase, he will buy the real object. It does not damage the brand at all.
Finally, in order to avoid competition with counterfeiters, faked companies must innovate and expand its products. It’s a good way to improve the brand.

As a conclusion, even if imitation can lead to tragic consequences, it can be positive for brands in man ways.
