Hello, my name is Semyon. I’m twenty one year old, also today is my birthday.

I’m a fourth-year student of Mining and Resources University.

My native language is Russian, but for now, I’m studying English intense.

I am studying to become a mining engineer.

I hope that my occupation will sent me stable job in Russia or abroad.

Occupation is open-cast mines.

Open-cast mining, or open-pit mining includes methods and equipment of stripping surface and extracting mineral resources.

There are several process in my job: First is a preparing surface for excavation.

Before it we should remove soil by using bulldozer, cut off all plants and dewater our area.

Then we should remove overburden that cover our deposits, and next we can start excavation of the deposits.

I chose this occupation because im hereditary miner, my grandfather also was a miner.

And my mother and my father have been graduate this University (Could I name it as “Alma mater”?).

I’ve already made a few course work.

On the second year it was a “the process of open-pit mining”.
