When I was a kid, the educational programs in Mexico not took English as a formal plan in to any level. So, I decided to study English by my own, but there were no enough schools in that time to get a course in which they guaranteed you were able to speak english at the end of the course. There were no internet too, and It was so hard to meet pepole to practice English those days.

I began to studied English in a formal way until I was in University, besides I studied Computer Science, so most of the books were in English, that was a motivation to learn faster English.

After a couple of years a finished my English lessons, and besides my reading were very good, my speaking skills were only on the average.

When I began to work,  business between USA and Mexico were growing in an exponential way, so the interaction with american citizen was constantly growing, for me, having learned English when I was in University were a plus,  I grew very fast in the hierarchy of the company, where I was working.

Now, the educational programs in Mexico have changed, and English is a must in all the schools in our country. So I make a reflexion about this, When I my professional career started, English was a plus, but now English is a must.

It´s easy, If you don´t speak English fluently, you don´t have opportunity to grow as professional of any field.  But you just not need to knowing
