Yesterday I saw “The Great Gatsby”, a film based on the homonymous novel by Scott Fitzgerald. I actually liked the film much more than the book, despite the fact that the book is extremely well written. The film gave me a much better idea of who Gatsby is. For those of you who have not seen the film yet, Leonardo plays the role of Jay Gatsby. He does a great job, as usual. As I was saying, the film helped me to understand the main characters of the novel, especially Gatsby. Perhaps it was because of Leonardo’s performance or perhaps because of the superb way in which the scenery was shown, but the thing is that the film conveys the gist of the story in a very forceful way.
