When I was young and I went to our secondary school, (I don't know what is its name in your country), every years we had classes about spanish literature. The teacher asked us to separate paragraphs, to identify the verbal tenses and to copy and analyse metaphors. I remember a book I took from the library, “Tacuara y Chamorro”. A telling about the adventures of two children who lived in poverty, close to the river. And I remember how tedious it was for me to seek for metaphors when I was amazed by the telling. At the end, I finished the book and I didn't the homework. I earned a zero in my notebook. However I can tell you the whole story even now. I was thinking about it because somebody asked me how to use an expression in past tense like:

- Fuí a comer

- He ido a comer.

Or the future:

- Voy a ir a comer.

-Iré a comer.

I heard a lot of explanations about the correct situation when we have to use each verbal tense. You have to use “fuí a comer” when the action happened in the past but it is not happening right now, but example. Actually, in my region of Argentina we never use “he ido a comer”. Never, it is not how we speak. Or we never say “Iré a comer”. It is not our custom. However in Santiago del Estero or Tucuman, only 500 kilometres of my city, it is completely the opposite. They never will say “Voy a ir”. However we understand without problems, we joke about their “accent” and they joke with us because we speak like “gringos”. The communication is fluent and the message is clear because everybody are speaking spanish.

I've changed emails, audios and videos with a friend for more than 2 years. His spanish is horrible and I guess that my english is horrible too. However we are able to chat about almost anything. Electronics, economics, politics, art, music. And we can change ideas, viewpoints, information and so on. And in the end, I translate what I am thinking in Spanish, and it will change as long as I to get structures talking with others.

I don't want to write a book in english. If some day I want to write a book I will do it in spanish and I'll give it to a professional for its translation. Then, maybe it is time, and we have age enough, to enjoy of a foreign language, and not to be worried for so much grammar and concepts that I don't know even in my native language.
