I agree with the statement that the Internet has made everyone's lives easier for two reasons: the Internet provides free online courses and facilitate communication between people.
People can access free online courses. For example, there are many websites that provides free online courses. Which means that you don't have to pay to enter a course. The only thing that you need to have is a computer connected to the Internet. The website that I have recently visited is Coursera. Coursera offers many free online courses that covers a wide range of topics. From Chemistry to Mathematics up to Arts. I just enrolled in a course on Coursera about "Argument thinking" and it's great. It provides lectures in a form of videos. After each lecture there is a series of exercises to test what you've learned. You can also interact with other people from around the world through forums. Furthemore, there is an option where you can get certified if you pay a small fee. This is optional. You don't have to pay the small fee to enter a course.
The Internet makes the communication between people easier. For instance, I used Facebook to text with my friends that are living in the same city where I live and with friends that live in different cities or countries. I can also Facebook to post my status or see what my friends have been doing lately in their Facebook wall. Moreover, Facebook let you create events. When an event is created you can invite friends, family, acquaintance or whatever you want to invite. You can set the day of the event, where is going to be held, how many people are going to attend and discuss by texting the details of the event as it were an online forum. You can do all this and more, for free. You can use Facebook on a computer or any device connected to the Internet.
