Internet is one of the greatest invention of all times. It has already changed our lives and nowadays it is hardly possible to imagine the world without it. The purpose of this wonderful system is to make our life easier and pleasant but it could also affect our lives negatively.
To begin with, the internet is used by people from all over the world to improve communication. It brings people that are far away closer, not to mention the fact that the price is way cheaper and takes much less time, which is a win-win situation.
Another benefit is that we can get quick access to information. The ‘search engines’ on the internet help us find information on any topic that we are looking for. Furthermore it allows students to enlarge their knowledge, thus, they do not need to find information in the libraries.
On the other hand, it may be argued that excessive use of internet can have a negative effect. For example, it takes you away from socializing with others in person and we start losing touch with the people in our lives.
Moreover, internet is addictive, that is why many young people spend too much time playing online games or chatting over the computer, instead of reading books, spending time with friends, and doing homework.
All things considered, I believe that internet makes our life better, but everything needs to be used with moderation and it is also important to remember to enjoy the real world that surrounds us every day.
