2014 is about to end.

As Year-End holidays coming by, Japanese TV progam tends to be longer and longer, and broadcast "special" program.

Just now(12/28 15:00 GTM+9), TBS(*1) is broadcasting a special news program for 8 hours, 10AM to 6PM.

8 hours. Crazy isn't it?

Who watch through the whole program? I wonder this happens only in Japan.

And at New-Years Eve, Kohaku Uta Gassen(*2), special music program will be broadcasted.

This program has long history, this is 65 times to be held.

Uta Gassen(歌-合戦) means deciding the winner and loser(合戦) by song(歌).

But in this program, result is not imporant though many people are watching.

Many Japanese forget the result in one week. Certainly I do forget the result by the end of January 1.

Instead of result, there are two important things. Contestant and Order.

"Who? When?" That's the point.

So If you meet with Japanese traveler in your country, ask that "Did you watch last year's Kohaku Uta Gassen?" and "Do you remember the result?"

If the answer for both questions is YES, they are crazy.
