Hello friends,

I'm spanish and four years ago I'm trying to learn  english and I've to recognize is a very hard task. There are several reasons for this, for example:

- I'm not a tenacious man. I study many hours for months and suddenly I stop to do it for months too. I can't to explain because I act of this way but I make it very often. I realize that it's a bad way to study because I forget almost everything  I've learning. In some way it has a similarity with the myth of Sisyphus. Sisyphus a figure of Greek mythology who was condemned to repeat forever the same meaningless task of pushing a boulder up a mountain, only to see it roll down again.

- Spanish pronunciation is much closer to the written form of the language than english. Spanish vowels always sound the same way.

- There are more tenses in spanish than english. At the beginning is more difficult to memorize but they are easier to use because each one has its uses.

- English verbs have a lot of meanings on the contrary of Spanish.

But the main problem for me to learn english is to find native partners and to get effective practice. Sometimes the time difference between america and spain is the cause. Other times the partners always finish speaking  the same topics and the conversation become in something boring and after  a certain length of time ceased the contacts.
