Hamid is one of my best friends, who I met him 3 years ago, when I was admitted to IUT. He’s 23, a year older than I, and he lives in Kashan with his parents, a younger brother and an older sister. We had same major in University, and we were both studying Information Technology. After two years since his admittance, he decided that he wanted to transfer from ours to a college nearer his house in Kashan, therefore, he abandoned Esfahan, and now studying mechanics in Kashan University.
Hamid’s English was great and I think he was very affectionate, because whenever I referred to him for ask a question about faculty’s educational slides, which were in English, he helped me a lot with those questions, either he was busy or idle. He also was a generous and reliable person that you could depend on his support if you had any kind of problem (monetary, educational, etc.). I think he was very sensible of other’s grief; you didn’t catch that because of his impassive face, but once I suddenly saw his donor card. He wasn’t so clever, but he was extremely competitive and hardworking. He passed seventy credits in IUT - in average 18 credits per term - before he transferred to Kashan University.
He likes taekwondo so much and he is a member of Iran international team of youth. He also likes listening to traditional music and Shajarians (the father and his son) are his favorite musicians, he likes to attend their concerts tour as well.
The only negative thing I can remember of is that he was a little shy about meeting and conversing with our classmate girls – in our coeducational sessions he was pretty quiet – but it isn’t a terrible problem, which I think it will be solved by time passing in future.
