The Mexican Toxics Release Inventory (RETC), similar to US TRI, is a Nation-wide reporting database holding reports of hazardous waste generation, air emissions, water discharges, use of resources and the way those streams interact and pollutants are transferred from one media to another, coming from selected industries operating in Mexican territory. Nowadays in use, it is regulated under the Ecological Equilibrium and Environmental Protection General Law and its derivative rules. Working for Advanced Sciences, my duties consisted into investigate multi-media pollutant emissions and transfer patterns, and the creation of the database framework.
