Winter is definitely my most favorite season of the whole year. However, after a challenging year behind, I have not spent much time out in the nature. The coldest days since months will arrive during the coming weeks and I look very much forward to it.

In Tokyo, in most cafes they usually play fast and noisy music and I wish they would be more considerate because it is not possible to quietly read a book or to study. Each time it reminds me of a commercial strategy for the supermarkets that they play slow music if you want clients to stay long and a fast one if you want them to shop quickly and go home like during the busy crowded hours. Maybe I will explore more in the new town and even visit libraries, or perhaps a Japanese Wagashi cafes.

But home sweet home, it is also time for me to prepare some Oshiruko with Yomogi mochi rice cake. For the exotic and rich smell of Yomogi leaves combined with a touch of medicinal fragrance so typical for this leave is a perfect match with the sweet and hot Azuki-beans-Jiru stew. If fills your stomach but it's also rich in vitamines, with a cup of organic green tea, it is the perfect treat for the freezing winter to keep you warm and energetic!
