Today I was arguing with my classmates about a complex issue. We ere asked what could be a bad influence on children. Firstly, a girl said that education in school is a problem because of the teachers. She said if a teacher doesn't teach good manners to the students, they will grow up with problems. Undoubtedly a lot of my classmates included me, rejected this idea. Not only because we all thought that teaching good manners is the responsibility of the parents, but also the work of a teacher is teaching maths, biology, etc., not how the behavior of a person should be in different situations.

Second, a friend of mine said that additionally to the parents, friends can be also a bad influence. For example, if all of my friends smoke and I want to look like them, I'm going to smoke too just to fell myself more comfortable. As a consequence of this situation, I'll have health issues in the future. The point of view that my friend said wasn't generally accepted. In fact, 50% of the class agreed with him, whereas the other 50% don't. I didn't agree, clearly if someone knows the troubles that smoking could bring, he wouldn't do that just to be part of a group.

In conclusion, talking about bad influences was a good task in the class today, everybody participated, even those students who don't use to talk too much.  Similarly to this task, we had another discussion last weekend but talking about politics, because the next year we have elections in my country.
