A long time ago, people used to learn the information that they knew from other people or with their own experience. This tell us that all hey needed for survive can be learned empirically because 2,000 years ago, there wasn’t even paper to write books. Nowadays we use to learn at school, studying from books hours and hours. In other words, the system we practice all around the world is about learn reading and then practice what we’ve learned. Furthermore, nowadays we have a better quality of lives and the hope of life is considerably higher than before, which be used use as an indicator that the actual system of learning with the books gives better results than the empiric knowledge.

A science teacher used to tell us that half hour in the library can save us hours of experimental time at the lab. And this was one of the best advices that I have ever received, because we use to waste a lot of time with the lab experiments trying different ways to solve our problems. Then he stopped the class and obligated us to study at the library for the next season, so that we could figure out how to finish the lab class.

I believe that all the information is in the books and the experience will function as a complement to apply that information. Because you can be an excellent person learning just watching or hearing, but at least once in your life, you will have to look for something in the books. In my experience,  I have probed this in science but I’ve learned that this happens in a lot of fields like social sciences, arts, biological sciences, etc.
