Proposal for the school magazine

Introduction

The purpose of this proposal is to give ideas for future content in the magazine and how to modernise its management, taking advantage of the intention of updating it.

News and opportunities for students

In order to attract students, the magazine should contain information of their interest. Even if it is easy to find it on the Internet, many students are not aware of the great opportunities there are around them, either to improve their skills or make good use of them. News involving young people and related to their interests (music, films) and the events in the city or town where the school is would surely attract them more than anything.

Changing managers from time to time

Regarding the management, a good way to renew it and make it fresh -not only with the update, but later on as well-, is changing managers. If the people in charge is changed, for example, every month, the management would be done by people with different ideas and perspectives, and that would be like a fresh new start for the magazine. As it is difficult to find a new professional staff every month, it can be done in two ways: one, making students the managers or two, rotating positions in the staff and including a different student in it each month.

Making the magazine more popular

These changes would bring many benefits. Students would appreciate the information given by the magazine and it would be read by more people. Also, the modern and attractive way of managing it would encourage them to participate.

Conclusion

To sum up, I confidently predict that the magazine’s popularity would grow with the changes proposed -giving information about opportunities and changing managers-, as they would not only be very beneficial for the students, but they would also make easy to adapt the content and structure to new trends.
