Yesterday I went with a friend to visit Sajazarra. It’s a village in La Rioja. It’s very well preserved; all the houses are made of stone. Two peculiars things to visit are the surroundings of the castle and a very narrow street with two hands coming out from each of the walls. It looks like the walls want to shake hands.

A kind old man told us the story about the castle. At the beginning it belonged to the Counts of Nieva. Many years later the count got in touch with a councillor of Sajazarra and in order to sell it to the town hall, he bought it for himself. He was living there for some years, till one of the shareholders of coca cola bought it. He changed all the furniture to an old one. Nowadays he is still living there. It's a pity, but you can't visit it.

After a stroll through the village we went to drink up in the only bar- restaurant. We had fried potatoes with two sauces: a tomato one, a little spicy and a garlic mayonnaise, and two coca colas. We realised that in the bar they were stingy, because they gave us just a little portion of the tomato sauce. This hasn’t been the first time I had come to Sajazarra, but it is always a pleasure to visit it.
