This is the first passage I write here. I chose this place (i.e. "practice writing") to introduce myself because I can see others' self-introductions in their profiles, which are very helpful when we look for partners, but I don't know how to add one to my own profile. Anyway, my name is Jason, and I am a native Chinese. My job is English teaching. A huge fan of linguistics, I'm interested in any discussion about language(s), and I love the idea of language exchange. I think I can speak and write grammatically correct English sentences, but sometimes I'm not sure whether they are pragmatically acceptable or typical in English-speaking countries. That's what I want to improve. I speak standard Mandarin and I have done some research on the similarities and differences between Chinese and English. I hope my skills and experiences can make me a good helper to those who are studying Chinese.
