Yesterday my grandma and I cooked a tradicional dish of El día de muertos (The day of the dead), sweet pumpkin. First we washed the pumpkin, then we cut it in pices and placed it in a pam with anise, cinamoon, guava, piloncillo (brown sugar), and some water. Next we covered the pam and put it on low heat for about 40 minutes. Finally we served the sweet pumpkin with milk. There are many ways to prepare sweet pumpkin but this the way my family cooks it.
