A week before Nowruz of this year my father and Mr. Safarpour had scheduled to be in Shiraz for Eid night. So, we picked up our suitcases and luggage set, and it was Esfand 29th that we walked to the road and began our trip. Since roads were extremely quiet, we sure we have plenty of time to be in Shiraz before ceremony would be held. So, we had several stops along the way and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Yasooj.
At last, we arrived to Shiraz while an hour left to the Eid. When we positioned well, we spreaded “Sofreye Haft Sin” and held New Year ceremony. It was passed on happiness until we decided to go out to the “Hafezieh”, “Saadie”, “Afifabad garden” and bazaar e “Karimkhan”. There were a lot of people who were visiting these places and also there were not left empty parking lot, so we had to park our cars in the corner of the street - sometimes illegally. After visiting those spectacular places we decided to go to the Marvdasht to visit “Takht e Jamshid”. It was about 4 or 5 pm we walked to the road while there were a heavy traffic. However there were a lot of cars and trucks, but it wasn’t as awful as nightmare of returning to Shiraz was. It was 40 or 45 kilometers to Marvdasht from Shiraz and it took an hour to get to “Takht e Jamshid” by car. Unfortunately we hadn’t arrived on time, and as a result visiting gates would have been closed, and security didn’t allowed us to visit, finally we hopelessly decided to go back to Shiraz.
It was the moment we were faced to our nightmare trip. There was a heavier traffic than before and vehicles had been moving closed to each other. It was an awful traffic jam that you could imagine. It took us 3 to 4 hours to get back to “Quran Gate”. It was about 11:30 pm we were in Shiraz and rush hour was close to terminating, then we went to a fast food and ate pizza and chips.
