Frist of all, the contents of shows must be linked to the age of pre-school viewers. They should be about nature and animals with simple words, and not difficult to understand. In additon, the duration of the programme is another factor that shoould be examined. According to some recent research by educationlists, the time of these shows should be between fifteen and twentry minutes because children at this age are more active, so this period of time is the best to allow them to focus on the programme.

Another factor should be considered more and this is presentation. The contents of all shows should be put in a suitable format and cartoon is on of the best choices. Landscapes and characters in cartoons should be colourful and varied so that they will stimulate the audiences to follow passinately. Furthermore, repetition in the programmes is also important since children can keep the contents and images of characters in their minds longer time, and this will help them remember.

However, there are some factors that must be avoided in producing the contents of the shows which pre-schoolers will be watching. These are violent scenes and bad language. Besides that, complicated issues, such as crimes and pollution using complex terminologies and long dialogue are completely inapproriate contents. Stories that are finished with happy endings are suitable for these ages.

Television is part of family life today, and children from a very young age will be exposed to it. It is important that what they see has a positive influence and is both educational and entertaining.
