Hi, in the title the question. In the body the explanation of the question.
Yes, because I am questioning myself on how effective it can be a peer-correction system like this. Effective for what? What are my purposes? Do I have a clear measure of effectiveness?
It just depends on the aims, the goals and what are the results I intend to pursue.
Yes, this is a personal text because the process of learning a language is a thing someone embraces for personal purposes only. It is an investment so to speak. Not only the personal time of the learner is involved but also his intellectual resources and efforts (learning require willpower, motivation and sometimes sacrifices). And like any other kind of investments - money investment for example - there is an expectance for gains, improvements, results.
When we talk about learning, the status of the student is involved and at the end of the process, he is hoped to became a slightly better person than he was at the beginning. It’s a matter of being better, it’s a matter of became better.
So, is it really useful? Is it flexible? Can I use it when I want? How much time do I have to wait for my text to be corrected? Do I need to reciprocate the favor by correcting other's texts? Just questions. For the moment, no answers. In fact I am writing this without any kind of awareness about what am I doing. So this is just try. I am experimenting it for the only purpose to see how it works.
Do I will use it again? I don't know. It’s not clear because I don't know if it can be useful for my purposes and I don't know if I will have enough motivation to come here and write again.
