There are mixed opinions which one should educate children to be good members in contemporary society. Regarding this, Some assert that parents should teach their own children to be good society components. However, I strongly believe that school should be the place to learn this. In this essay, I will outline the both views and present my opinion of this matter. On the one hand, parents take on great roles in socialization education because children tend to follow what their parents do and how they think. Children can mimic how their parents adjust to be members in society. Parents also can give some comments and idea about social life. If there was no parents for a child, the child could not be able to a good member later on. For example, a long time ago, a boy who were raised by wolves was found by people. People had educated him for a while, he couldn't be an ordinary human in society at last. The problem was the absence of his parents in his childhood. Therefore, it is necessary for children to be a good member in society. On the other hand, school also play very important role in socialization education. school is the place where the society is minimized. Children can meet diverse people in school. There are rules and regulations that children have to follow like society. They even study about many subjects related to society where they are included. If school doesn't teach children how to be a good member in society, children will not able to contribute to society as members. Research conducted by Seoul National University has shown that education and experiences in school affect their future achievements significantly as society members. In short, school should be cradles for children in the process of socialization. In conclusion, parents are crucial in educating children to be social members because they are the most important people in children's lives. However, school is the miniature of real society. Almost every parts in school are related to society. In my opinion, school should take on the role of making children into good social members for those reasons.
